Eden College is the dream-come-true of the late Sachidanansing Balgobin (‘Eden’ to his dear ones), its founder. Eden College was founded in 1951 and started with only 30 students and three teachers. Till the end, the late Eden Balgobin did the maximum to make of the college a renowned institution. Before leaving the reins of the college to his wife, Lalita Balgobin, the founder admitted around 12,000 students. After his death in 1983, Lalita Balgodin pursued the endeavour of her husband with the same enthusiasm, dedication and vision. Dhiraj Balgobin, son of the founder, has now taken over the reins of managing the college.
